Terms from Statistics for HCI: Making Sense of Quantitative Data

Research in Human–Computer Interaction often involves some form of study with people: sometimes using a prototype, sometimes in some form of focus group or interview, sometimes in a more experimental situation closer to pure psychology. The methods used are often similar to the user studies or user experience studies used by usability practitioners during user interface development, but the aims are different.
